6 Days Xinjiang Tour

Flight from Beijing or Shanghai to Urumqi. Meet with the group at Urumqi International Airport and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 01: Drive to Turpan from Urumqi, then tour in Turpan:
Visit the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves or Grottoes (Grottoes are architectural styles and the richest mural content in Turpan), Gaocheng ancient city (Started in the first century B.C, it was a key point on the ancient Silk Road,). Flaming Mountain (The Flaming Mountains were formed in the organic movements of the Himalayas fifty million years ago). Astana-Karahoja Ancient Tombs (Known as the "Underground Museum" and widely valued by Chinese and foreign archaeologists and historians, there are murals depicting figures, birds and flowers on display in the three tombs).

Day 02: Tour in Turpan, back to Urumqi after lunch. Flight from Urumqi to Kashgar.
Visit the Jiaohe Ancient city, Karez system (Karez System is an irrigation system of wells connected by underground channels, is considered as one of the three great ancient projects in China). Emin Minaret (Emin Minaret was built in 1777, is the largest extant old tower in Xinjiang; and it is the only Islamic tower among the hundred famous towers in China). Head to Urumqi early in the Afternoon for catch the flight to Kashgar.

Day 03: Day tour in Kashgar:
Visit Sunday market (which is the biggest market in central Asia, the market is active everyday, but Sunday is a much more crowded and big day). Id Kah mosque (which is the biggest mosque in China, was built in 1442) . Old town (old part of Kashgar city, the nationality living in old town is 100% Uyghur). Tomb of Appak Hoja or fragrant concubine tomb (Appak Hoja was the leader and master of white mountaineer Sufism in the Southern part of Xinjiang) .handcraft street ( The street is full of different types of handicraft making such as kitchen utensils, copper pot, musical instruments, and so on).

Day 04: Drive to Hotan from Kashgar:
We set out from Kashgar early in the morning to Hotan. On the way to Hotan, we will visit Yingsar (which is the famous town for making Uyghur knives in Xinjiang) and visit the knife factory. Stop in Yarkand(shache in Chinese) for a few hours to have lunch, after lunch visit the Golden Grave Yard( It is Yarkand Uyghur Kingdom’s Grave yard, from 16th century; local people called to show respect to the king, and they name it Golden Grave Yard) or Tomb of Aman Nisahan (the lady who combined the Famous Uyghur Twelve Mukam and invented one Mukam herself, and she is the wife of the second king of the Yarkand kingdom) and visit the old town in Yarkand. Yarkand once was the capital of the Uyghur Kingdom in ancient times, and it was an important station on the Ancient Silk Road. It has a history of more than 2000 years. Drive straight to Hotan after Yarkand. It is 540km from Kashgar to Hotan.

Day 05: Day tour in Hotan:
Visit the Sunday market in Hotan, it is as big as the Sunday market in Kashgar. Visit the ancient city of Melike Awat, White Jade River and white jade factory, visit carpet and silk factories. These three handicrafts are from Hotan well known to all over the China, and the world.

Day 06: Take morning flight to Urumqi from Hotan.
Visit the Heavenly Lake in the morning and come back to Urumqi late at noon from Heavenly Lake, visit the Xinjiang museum. Farewell dinner before going to the airport. Heavenly Lake is 110km from Urumqi. We take you to Urumqi International Airport (that evening or the following morning) and help you to check in. This is the end of your tour.
